Testimonial: Sandéns Security Printing AB
Sandéns Security Printing AB is one of Scandinavia’s largest producers of lottery tickets, scratch cards, bingo cards, and promotional materials.
Sandéns was using a legacy imprinting system to print variable data on lottery tickets. They needed a new imprinting solution that could print with high uptime and minimum operator intervention.
Sandéns purchased a FUJIFILM 20-inch (508 mm) 42K Printbar System. A key reason was the 42K’s ability to cover the entire print width without having to manually reposition individual printbars.
Sandéns has now been working with the 42K for a while, is pleased with its total cost of ownership, and likes not having to worry about printbar refurbishment anymore.
Special thanks to our friends at VISUTECH, who were a key partner in bringing this improvement to Sandéns.

Testimonial: Concord Direct, USA
For more than six decades, Concord Direct has developed direct-response solutions for leading non-profits devoted to a wide cross-section of causes, including environmental, food relief, animal welfare, human services, and more.
A turnkey production process—including extensive printing and the ability to meet deadlines—has long been critical to Concord’s success. Recently, the team saw the need to upgrade its printing system and chose the FUJIFILM 46kUV Inkjet Printbar System.
“We saw the need to look in a new direction for producing our work. After a visit to Fujifilm’s R&D facility for inkjet integration, we opted to partner with them,” said Scott Hirsch, Plant Manager, Concord Direct. “Fujifilm has a long history in print, and the combination of Fujifilm’s technology and integration expertise was an added plus. The system is operator-friendly, efficient, and offers clean, smart software that has truly enhanced our operations.”
Installing Fujifilm’s 46kUV Inkjet Printbar System has resulted in a number of efficiency gains for Concord Direct. The 46kUV prints at speeds up to 500 feet per minute—a major improvement over Concord’s previous maximum printing speed of 300 feet per minute. Additionally, Concord was often restricted to running its old system at 194 feet per minute due to print quality, webbed material length in the machine, start-up time, and web tension challenges. The FUJIFILM 46kUV Inkjet Printbar System, paired with the Fujifilm TransJet media transport, allows for easier access, quicker set up, and faster changeovers than Concord’s former system.

Testimonial: Lebone Litho, South Africa
The FUJIFILM 42K Printbar System played a key role in Lebone Litho Printers’ printing of election ballots for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
With its new FUJIFILM 42K Printbar Systems, Lebone Litho Printers was able to print 64,000 pads in two weeks, which previously required four weeks. Lebone Litho’s participation in this project, which has been openly visible to the public, resulted in increased visibility and advertising that has compounded sales opportunities for the large printing provider.
“The success Lebone Litho has experienced here is rooted in the productivity of the Fujifilm 42K Printbar System,” said Keith Michael, Chief Executive Officer of Lebone Litho Printers. “With the easy-to-use, high-tech printing solution, we’re able to deliver high-quality printing services in a speedy manner as well as take on additional printing jobs for a wide range of compelling clients, including printing exams for local schools and printing the licenses and registration documents for vehicles in Tanzania.”
“The story of success from Lebone Litho Printers highlights the versatility and value of the 42K Printbar system, and the trust they place in Fujifilm’s integration team,” said Greg Balch, vice president and general manager of the FUJIFILM Integrated Inkjet Solutions group. “What we‘ve heard from them is similar to what other clients have told us and is what we’ve come to expect.”

Case Study: Scandbook AB, Sweden
According to an article published by Grafkom on Feb 1, 2024, Scandinavian book printer Scandbook announced in early 2024 that it is installing new digital printing technology in two plants.
“The timing is perfect for this investment as our customers are increasingly looking at sustainability issues and, of course, their costs,” says Paulius Juška, CEO of Scandbook.
They chose four 27-inch FUJIFILM 42K printbars with Samba printheads to retrofit their existing press. Company officials said they believe uptime will be higher, and the stability of the technology makes it more predictable at start and stop. They also will be able to print on a wider range of book papers.
“This gives us much better control over the process, and we will be able to print on many more different papers,” said Scandbook site manager Alf Linder.
“Just having a wider selection of papers is very important right now. The market wants to be standardized, but it also wants to be flexible, as paper is such a large part of the cost of the book,” he added.
Juška added, “It’s good for our company which becomes much more stable, this will be our opportunity to create a good future.”
